Parking in Bedfordshire
Bedfordshire Highways has secured a budget of £12,000 per year for the next five years to install secure parking stands for motorcycles.
Presently there is no specific programme of sites where this parking is to be introduced, so they would welcome riders’ suggestions for the most appropriate sites. These will then be assessed for inclusion in the programme.
The following list of towns and villages has been nominated for consideration, but where best should the parking be located?
Ampthill Bedford Town
Biggleswade Cranfield
Dunstable Flitwick
Houghton Regis Kempston
Leighton Buzzard Sandy
Shefford Toddington
These places have been put forward for one or more of the following reasons:
• Substantial commercial centre
• Opportunity for tourist stopping or destination point
• Strategic travel locations – for example, stations
If you have a suggested location for motorcycle parking, please contact nick.chapman@amey.co.uk
There are currently three motorcycle parking areas in Bedford town centre. Click on the links below to open a location map of each of these parking areas.
