RideSafe - Assessed Rides
Do you really know how well you ride? Or how you could improve? You can find out by doing an assessed ride with a police motorcyclist who will give you impartial, expert feedback on what you’re doing well and where you could develop your skills.

Who is RideSafe for?
RideSafe is recommended for any rider who holds a full motorcycle licence who lives, works or rides in Bedfordshire. It is particularly suitable for you if you have taken no further training since passing your test, have moved to a more powerful bike or are returning to riding after a break.

What’s Involved?
You will ride a set route that has been planned to include different roads and riding conditions, followed by a police motorcyclist who will observe your riding. They will then give you an assessment and feedback on your riding in thirteen different areas, telling you what you do well and where you can improve your skills.

RideSafe is part of the “Motorcycle Training Matters” initiative by the Bedfordshire and Luton Casualty Reduction Partnership to help reduce the number of motorcyclists killed and injured on our roads by improving riders' skills and promoting ongoing rider training. We are doing this by working in partnership with the motorcycling community in Bedfordshire and Luton, including local motorcycle instructors, with support from the Department for Transport.
