Emergency Aid for Bikers!
St John Ambulance will be running two "emergency aid" courses for motorcyclists - on 30th June and 22nd Sept.
Book your places early. It is likely that some other members of the Motorcycling Matters forum will be there, so we will make ourselves known and please do have a chat with us about the forum and what we get up to.
It takes around 40 hours to learn to ride a motorbike and pass your test. It takes just 4 hours to learn basic First Aid - that's not much to ask for the life of a biker.
St John Ambulance has devised the first ever Emergency Aid for Motorcyclists course which covers:
- incident management
- minor and severe bleeding
- shock
- dealing with an unconscious casualty
- recovery position
- when and how to remove a crash helmet
St John Ambulance is encouraging every biker to undertake an Emergency Aid for Motorcyclists course because it will SAVE LIVES! Also, BikeSure will offer a 5% discount to all bikers taking out insurance with BikeSure, or renewing their policy, when they produce an Emergency Aid for Motorcyclists certificate from St John Ambulance.
The price per person for this half-day course is £37.50 plus VAT.
